Abstract Figures, 16" x 20" oil
My studio in Saxonville is having an open house on April 4 and 5 from noon to five.
I have been painting the figure more abstractly. Most of my figure paintings are done from a live model. I love the muted colors and the fact that all the figures overlap as if to say “we are all together but going separate ways.” This painting is about figures moving through space.
For as long as I can remember I was either painting or drawing. It seems I was born holding a paintbrush. I continued to follow my artistic ambitions at the University of Pennsylvania where I majored in pre-architecture, minored in art history, and took numerous figure drawing classes. I paint a variety of subject matter in a variety of styles. Sometimes I paint what I see, and other times I paint what I feel.
I am a resident of Massachusetts and have a studio in the historic Saxonville Mills in Framingham.
